For the last 20 years, besides playing solo and working in the recording studio, rick's main gig has been as one of the Short Brothers. Normally they're a duo consisting of Jerry Short and Rick (aka Buck Short) but occassionally they're joined by other esteemed members of the 'Short Family' such as Les Short (Jon Ross) and Slim Short (Dave Talmage) where they get to explore our blues and bluegrass whims. The Short Brothers is an amazingly versatile acoustic music duo with great vocals, thousands of original and cover songs in their repertoire and dozens of instrumental combinations - and to quote one 'Short' fan"You sure do make a lot of noise for just two guys". |
