OLD SCHOOL

Old School is Rick's latest venture and is just a fun (low) power trio consisting of Paul Wolf on drums (and washboard) and Jim Taylor on upright bass to go with Rick's guitar and keyboard. All three provide vocals. Old school has but one gig - a good one though - as they host a jam session every Monday night at the Dolphin Striker in Portsmouth from 9 to midnight and invite any and all seacoast musicians to come down and play. On any particular evening they might have a jazz piano player and a blues harp man, along with a swing fiddler, or a scorching hot lead guitar man. When Wolfie breaks out the washboard for a bluegrass stomp, it gets dangerous. Who knows, maybe Old School will get serious and find a few more gigs, but for right now, once a week is just right.
